“Problems of the special libraries” is a thematic periodical collection, issued by the Central Library of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. This edition is the continuation of the 7 volumes of “Journal of CL of BAS” (1959-1973).  They present the library’s functions and responsabilities as a national coordinator in the field of the special libraries and special bibliography in Bulgaria.

From 1975 to 2001 there were issued 9 volumes of this edition. They are dedicated to different themes, such as the library network of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, the automatization of the library and information activities, library and information service, the improvement of the library and bibliographic activities, the international book exchange of Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, etc. Among the authors are Assoc. Profs. M. Kadankova-Radoslavova, M. Argirova, Ts. Staykova, N. Kazanski, etc.
